Welcome back, James Bond! If you need a reminder, the 23rd Bond, supposed to be helmed by Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig as the British super spy, was originally shelved following the financial issues faced by MGM, who owns the rights. However, the latest we heard was that the project might see the light again, now that MGM has filed for bankruptcy. The piece of information was found in a Bloomberg financial report, which claimed that MGM will go ahead with the project. It was reported that the film should be ready by Nov 2012.

Will we get to see Daniel Craig as James Bond in the next installment of the superspy franchise?

While MGM will still hold the rights to the latest installment, another studio might be roped in to fund the making cost. While it was good news for Bond fans around the world, one thing remains in question: will Craig and Mendes return onboard? While both were attached to the project at one point, now they might not have the time for Bond, seeing how Craig is busy shooting David Fincher’s remake of Swedish flicks The Millennium Trilogy, while Mendes is also committed to other film projects.
