Bomoh's rape ploy to marry patient
A BOMOH raped his patient during a "healing" session so he could have her for his wife, reported Harian Metro. In an interview with the tabloid, the 38-year-old businesswoman, known only as Shidah, said she had gone to see the bomoh at his home in Taman Suria, Kluang, last April to get rid of bad luck.
"When I was told to follow him upstairs alone, I was worried but my cousin, who was with me, said it was standard procedure as the bomoh did not want to be disturbed during the session," she said, adding that upon entering the room, she was made to drink a potion. Shidah, who is married, said the bomoh told her to lie down on a prayer mat before taking off her clothes, adding that at this point, her worries "melted away" as the man rubbed oil on her body, then raped her.
She said the bomoh threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident before giving her another potion. Shidah said the potion was ineffective in improving her business but it affected her sex life to the extent that her husband had asked her for a divorce. She said when the bomoh came to see her later, he expressed surprise that her husband was "still around" and confessed to having raped her so that he could marry her after her divorce.
