IPOH: The body of a 3-year-old boy, who is believed to have been kidnapped on Sunday, was found yesterday in the estuary of Sungai Kuala Bagan Tiang in Bagan Serai, some 120km from here.
Kerian police chief Supt Mat Fauzi Nayan said Lee Li Xuan's body was found floating about 10am by villagers.
Mat Fauzi said the boy's father, Lee Boon Chung, 25, had lodged a police report that his son was abducted by a man while the child was watching a stage show near his grandfather's house in Bagan Tiang on Sunday at 10pm.
Clad in a blue T-shirt and a pair of red shorts, Li Xuan is said to have walked alone to his grandfather's house from his home in Taman Damai, some 200 metres away, to watch the open-air show.
The child is said to have been bundled into a Proton Aeroback, last seen heading towards Parit Buntar.
No one has been arrested in connection with the case.
