SINGAPORE: A body has been found outside Rise Restaurant located at the lobby of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel.
Police said they received a call at about 9pm on Wednesday evening.
Our Channel NewsAsia reporter at the scene said she saw officers and what looked to be staff from the integrated resort crowding around a fountain located outside the restaurant.
When contacted, a manager at the restaurant, who wanted to be known only as Keith, said there were still customers at the premises around 11.30pm.
He added the restaurant closes at midnight.
In a statement sent later, Marina Bay Sands confirmed the incident.
A spokesperson said both the Police and Singapore Civil Defence Force were called to the scene.
No further details were given.
Police are investigating.
On June 13, a German man was believed to have fallen from the Marina Bay Sands' Sky park.
His body was found on a grass verge next to the East Coast Expressway.
