[h=2]Blogger claims that meeting between Lee Kuan Yew and ST journalist did not take place[/h]Posted by temasektimes on August 9, 2012
The purported meeting between Singapore’s Supreme Leader Lee Kuan Yew and a Straits Times journalist did not take place yesterday, tweeted blogger ‘IZ Reloaded’ who was responsible for spreading unverified rumors about Lee’s health.
ST political journalist Tessa Wong had earlier tweeted on 7 August that Lee would be meeting her colleague the next day:

In a post this morning, ‘IZ Reloaded’ claimed that the meeting did not take place at all:

A former Prime Minister of Singapore for 25 years, the elder Lee was widely considered as the founding father of modern Singapore. His son Lee Hsien Loong is currently the Prime Minister while his daughter-in-law Ho Ching heads Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings.
Though he is no longer in the Singapore cabinet, Lee’s state of health is still an important concern among many people judging from the frenzy the rumors have whipped up in cyberspace to the extent that even the aunties and uncles in the HDB heartlands are talking about it.
Meanwhile, Tessa Wong has stopped posting on her Twitter. It is not known if she has been ‘counseled’ by SPH for her comments.
