<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->PUB, the national water agency, thanks Mr James Tan for his feedback on Wednesday, 'Newater plant - the pong is unbearable'.
PUB has conducted a thorough investigation into the source of odour at the junction of Xilin Avenue, Simei Avenue and Upper Changi Road East. In the course of the investigations, PUB officers found some smell emitted through a sewer manhole cover at the junction of Xilin Avenue and Upper Changi Road East. To address this problem, the holes on the cover have been sealed.
Newater factories, including the nearest Bedok Newater Factory, do not emit any odour. PUB will continue to monitor the situation in the vicinity.
Members of the public can call PUB's 24-hour call centre on 1800-284-6600 to provide feedback.
