BirdPark thefts - no word about CCTV suggestion

I READ Wednesday's letter, 'Tourist's tale of two cities' by Dr Saskia von Sanden, a tourist who lost her belongings at Jurong BirdPark, with much sadness.
I was there with my wife and daughter on April 2. There was no ATM there and we had to swipe our Nets card at the front counter. We then happily made our way to the hawk enclosure for our first show.
After the show ended, as we made our way to the snack kiosk, my wife discovered that her wallet placed in the diaper bag had gone missing and the zipper was undone. We quickly retraced our steps and met a service officer who radioed to the people at the enclosure. Within five minutes they got to us, and their cleaner discovered the wallet in the women's toilet. All was intact except the money.
I subsequently wrote to the BirdPark to suggest that it install closed-circuit TV (CCTV) at the entrances and the show enclosures to act as a deterrent and remind pickpockets they can be caught on camera any time. The BirdPark replied that it would alert the management but I have yet to hear from them. If the BirdPark has become a paradise for pickpockets, should the authorities not do something?
