China is giving lot of thoughts to go green and thereby save the environment.
In Shenzhen, public buses and taxis are using batteries to run their vehicles.
There are many battery-charging kiosks built all over China to play their part.
What about tiny first-world nation like Singapore?
We still have public and private buses using diesel which spews dangerous emissions into the environment.
The taxis are the same too. Surely not COMFORTable for people waiting at bus-stops and taxi-stands. Carcinogens causes carcinoma (cancers).
Stand a a bus-stop for a while then used a tissue paper and go over your brow and neck. The proof would be there.
It is not safe even for other road-users like joggers, pedestrians and those living in nearby flats with windows open.
We just spent billions buying new buses that run on diesel. What the hell for?
China is a producer of diesel-powered buses and export these buses all over the World.
In Singapore we have many of these like Xiamen and King Long models. Are we a dumping ground?
