It is rather hilarious to me that so many WP members and supporters have been accusing me of "WP-bashing" instead of looking at the problems WP is having right now.

Well, it seems that very few people understand the need of keeping their Blue Heroes on their toes. Apparently they didn't learn anything from Yaw-gate and take the issue of integrity very lightly. Pritam even claim that he has done no wrong in plagiarizing other people's work and try to pass off as his own because he broke no law or rules. But did YSL break any law or rules with adulteries?

We have been accusing PAP for decades of wanting to shut critics up with all sorts of methods, including defamation suits. But it seems that it is the same with WP and its supporters. They are intolerant of criticisms and you may ask, if you are intolerant of criticisms on yourself, would you be ardent advocates of Freedom of Speech?

I'm the one who used the term "WP-bashing" on you. That was inappropriate and I apologise.

My view is this - The best way for a society to progress is to allow different opinions to flourish. And everyone should have their own views, best if those views are fair, independent, impartial/neutral and objective. Going to the extreme is never good for the overall good of the society. That means, blindly supporting something is just as bad as denouncing it no matter what. I think you get my point.

But I do think you're obsessed with WP - you just can't stop talking about WP! The question is why? From your postings and reply to my post in a separate thread, I infer that you really believe what you're doing will help opposition politics as a whole, and wake WP up. I'm asking you to examine your actions and behaviours, not just your intent (assuming we trust that you have good intent), but the consequences of your actions/behaviours. Could there be any unintended consequences? Can you manage any backlash if you could not forsee what may come? I'm simply asking you to reflect. Nothing more.

At this moment, I'm saying YOU DO NOT COME ACROSS AS IMPARTIAL. This could well be a perception. But you should know better, in life, perceptions are more influential than facts.

Lastly, as I wrote in my other post, please seriously consider leaving this forum. You are a rich source of entertainment here. But if you want to be taken seriously as a politician/commentator/observer, your postings here are not helping you.

When I "attack" PAP, I am not impartial. When I "bash" WP, I am neither impartial as well.

I will tell you why WP ended up with Yaw-gate and the integrity problems as it is now. It is because people are "impartial" and allows all these happenings to carry on for years. I have WP member who told me secretly that he had known about YSL's womanizer tendency when his female friend nearly fallen prey to YSL years ago. He chose not to say anything about it... maybe he don't want to be seen as "WP-basher".

I told him straight, he has become an accomplice of this Yaw-gate. He has allowed such things to carry on within WP for years until the shit hit the fan. But I can tell you, he is not the only one who is "accomplice" by keeping quiet about such bad things. There are others.

Yaw-gate is a typical "quiet ploy". WP has been misled by its own complacency. They thought YSL has gone through GE2006 and nothing happen to him, nobody complain about him, so he is the "safe bet". But I guess they didn't read Chinese history much or even watch political TV drama. The best way of destroying your enemy is not keep "bashing" him but to allow him to continue to feel flattered, push up his ego, let him win even when he shouldn't and then, drop the "bomb" on him. He will never be able to climb back to fight you again.

If you constantly beat him, he will come back every time, stronger.

If anyone here thinks that ISD didn't know YSL's womanizing hobby prior to GE2011 or even prior to GE2006, they are really naive and dead wrong. They just didn't detonate the bomb until he got elected, maximize damage on him and WP. YSL fell and didn't even know what hit him. He was allowed to carry on his ways without disruptions until they need to make use of him and his scandals to extract maximize damage. He thought he could fool it all, fool everybody, even ISD. He is dead wrong, seriously dead wrong. He thought his use of emotional attachment with the women he had, they won't betray him. He is dead wrong again.

Similarly, if we don't drill the idea of the need to keep integrity as the most basic fundamental of keeping alive in opposition politics to these "rookie politicians" (not my choice of words), they will fall as hard as YSL one day... destroying the whole opposition movement together with their fall.

So, please remember, there is a Big Bad Wolf GMS out there waiting to pounce on every faults they make!

Yes, you are right. I will pounce whenever there are stupid things coming out from WP. You will thank me years later for doing such dirty "bashing" which nobody wants to do... just like the Emperor with no clothes.

I am talking every sense here but regrettably, you don't really get it. I have already told you, keeping quiet will only create another YSL, more YSL. That's what make Yaw-gate, people chose to keep quiet when they are not supposed to... in the end, they suddenly realize that their inaction make them accomplice of Yaw-gate.

Don't pay any attention to Goh Meng Seng's poison pen remarks. He is now accusing WP people of knowing about YSL womanizing all along, and covering up so as to avoid looking bad on themselves. Who is he is insert fore-knowledge into the minds and mouths of people? That chap left WP in 2006, yet act as if he was a party insider all the way until 2011. Ridiculous!

Whether WP people really knew about YSL's habits, its unfair to prejudge unless the party members themselves admit in their own names. Besides, even if you suspect something is going on, would you consider it gentlemanly to go around accusing your friend and colleague of womanizing? Its a serious charge in itself, given that YSL is a married man (if he was single, still OK).

If I suspect GMS had sex with a Macau prostitute, does it give me the right to go around warning NSP members not to field GMS in elections because he is suspected to be a womanizer? Yet GMS is suggesting that WP members ought to have done the same to YSL, on the basis of suspicions, hunches and speculations.

Anyway YSL was not expelled for womanizing. He was expelled for not coming clean at the appropriate time. It is clearly the fault of YSL not knowing when it is a crisis situation that calls for immediate action even if it is highly embarrassing.
