Since young, I have always enjoyed eating wanton noodles apart from other local favorites such as chicken rice and hokkien mee. The then boyfriend introduced Fei Fei Wanton Mee King to me sometime in June this year when we were looking around for a place to have supper. He was appalled that I had not tried Fei Fei, which is his favorite, and insisted that I should give it a try. So is Fei Fei the BEST in Singapore? You know, the word ‘best’ is really subjected to individual taste preferences and in my books, Fei Fei is indeed the best of all the wanton noodles that I have eaten.

Please note that Fei Fei is situated along Joo Chiat Place and not Joo Chiat Road. It can get pretty frustrating if you end up at the wrong place, especially when you are taking a public transport and have to walk in. Also, another interesting point to note is that there is also another Fei Fei just across the street! Can somebody enlighten me on this?

The noodles are remarkably different from the usual mee kia. Appearance wise, they are relatively lighter in color. The egg noodles are dry and I suggest dribbling a spoonful of soup all over before stirring. Some people say that the treasures are hidden below the noodles (yup all you see is just noodles when they serve it to you) but I think otherwise. The wantons are quite miserable, being on the puny side but I say that the springy, chewy noodles make up for this. They are thin and have a very good bite which is similar to most types of ramen noodles. A spoonful of red chilli sauce gives the noodles an extra kick, not exactly in a very spicy way but it was enough to add flavor to the noodles. Nowadays I find myself craving for Fei Fei’s wanton noodles.

fei fei mee is over rated. their char siew is just dyed red. no flavor at all.

there is one at alexandra village formerly was fr dover road market. their mee is very generous with plenty of char siew slices and about 5 wantons for $3 big or $2.50 small.

it's a very retro flavour and their chilli paste is plainly honestly good. their soup is also power packed. most of all the hawker is friendly and would gladly deliver the food right to your nearby table.

another one is located at keong siak street just opp. an old guanyin temple. if u r there, must order their shui jiao or shrimp dumplings. v solid!

Yes there are two about 50 metres apart from each other. I heard both owners are related. The original one is beside the Kim Choo Bak Chang.
Ah Ron is right, both stalls are over rated.

There is a better one not too far away at Joo Chiat Road - Hong Mao (红毛面家) which is in front of the large open car park. Originally from Tembeling Road, it moved to present location about a year ago. Be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes during peak hours. Two other good Wanton noodle stalls are at Owen Road market (can't remember the name) and round market at Tampines St 11 (Xing Ji 星记)。

Old lady's wantan mee not bad, but still not as good as Lavender 1, fei fei noodles sucks

WTF!!!!! This shows is SO BULLSHITS!!!!!!! The Dunman wan tan mee is the fake 1!!!!! the original is at the basement, not at the 1st floor anymore!!! FUCKING MORONS!!!!! :oIo::oIo::oIo:

Wow! I like this thread. Please keep it coming. One good wonton noodle I had was near Holland Drive in one of those 4 storey red brick building, facing Commonwealth Road or Buona Vista MRT. A hidden gem. Those who know how to eat Wanton Noodle will eat the soup version. Dry version very easy to Tow Gai. Unfortunately, the stall no longer around when I last visited early these year. Have to ask my mum to CSI where they relocated. This is a true Cantonese Wanton noodle stall. Fei Fei is overated.

If you like it hot, Fei Fei is about there. Somehow the old stall seems better then the one across the road. Maybe psychology at play here. Fei Fei has another outlet at Zion Road food centre.

I also like the one at Emerald Shopping Centre at junction of Jln Besar and Lavender Rd.

Yes. This one tastes different from the rest. It has a light, delicate touch. How come you travel so far? I thought your territory is Bukit Merah.
