Hello, General, the PAP only formed its first govt in 1959 with blessings from the Brits and the tengku.
I am now wondering if I shld throw out my hisotry books which fully accounted for the years 1942-1959.
Myth: PAP defended you since.
fact: It was the US that entered the WW2 on the Allies' side and dropped 2 atomic bombs that stopped the Japanese Imperial Army's occupation of Singapore, not the SAF.
Myth: Our generals have wartime experience.
Fact: The only 'war' experience comes from war games either on the PC or on paper.
