<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I HAVE had a frustrating time trying to contact the Ministry of Manpower.
Its telephone line is engaged almost all the time and when I am fortunate enough to be connected, I have to press a slew of numbers, sometimes getting cut off in the process because, according to the recording, I have exceeded the number of tries.
Then, when I hit the jackpot of finally speaking to a human voice, the person cannot address my queries and says that an officer would call me back within the day.
This call of course does not materialise, so I go through the same painful process again the next day. By this time, I am just about to flip.
I hope MOM will improve the way it handles public inquiries. Tan Say Yin (Ms)
