Shop owners from the Bedok Reservoir estate are complaining about a man defecating in public.
A man in his 50s has been selling tissue paper for the last five to six years at Blk 632, Bedok Reservoir Road.
However, the man has begun defecating in public in the last two months.
Many of the shop owners in the area are very concerned as his act is scaring away passersby and affecting their business.
Mdm Hou (age 50), the owner of a nearby stationery shop said, "He does not take off his pants in public. He pees directly into them and the pee leaks onto the seats and the floor. After a spot gets wet, he moves to another spot. He also poos directly in his pants and the faeces fall out from the gaps in his pants."
The man does not seem concerned about it and will continue to sit on the seats in a nearby fast food restaurant even when he is dripping with excrement.
Mdm Guo (age 52), the owner of a nearby provision shop noted that some passersby will accidentally step on the man's faeces.
She said, "The passersby don't realise it and they'll come into the shop. They get faeces in the shop and I have to cover the stains with tissue paper. Otherwise other customers will complain that the shop is smelly and will stay away."
