Sin Chew Daily reported that a property contractor and his family were beaten up by six hoodlums while his wife and daughter were molested by a group of gangsters in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.
The gang even challenged their victims to lodge a police report.
The 50-year-old contractor from Selayang said he brought his wife, 46, three daughters and son aged between 17 and 23 to the Setapak wet market on Sunday morning.
The incident happened when the family was shopping at the market. The man and his son went to a stall while his wife and their daughters went to another one nearby.
Suddenly, they were approached by several men. One of the men allegedly molested the wife, while another hugged one of the daughters from behind.
Both the father and son were assaulted by the men when they confronted the hoodlums. The victims later lodged a police report.
The daily also reported about a 13-year-old girl who was raped by her wushu master in Singapore four years ago.
The man, who teachers self-defence to girls, was charged in court later.
The daily said the man faces a jail term of between eight and 20 years and whipping.
