why no new cases? i believe they dun allow people to come in unnecessary so no imported cases and hence, no mask needed.

Every Sinkie should stay masked: those mask manufacturers can huat bigly the next time Temasek Foundation gives a contract to them for making 'free' masks. It also provides an opportunity to publicly virtue signal about how caring the PAP govt is. #SGCLEAN #SGUNITED

Singapore records 17 new cases of Covid-19, all imported

SINGAPORE — Singapore on Saturday (March 20) recorded 17 new cases of Covid-19, all of which were imported. There were no new cases in the wider community.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that all 17 imported cases were placed on stay-home notices or isolated on arrival in Singapore, and were tested while serving quarantine.

They are:

- A Singaporean who returned from India

- A long-term visit pass holder who arrived from Myanmar

- Three work-pass holders who came from India and Romania

- Ten work-permit holders who arrived from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines — two of whom are foreign domestic workers

- Two short-term visit pass holders who came from Indonesia. One of them had already been receiving medical care here and returned for further treatment. The other case is her caregiver

On the whole, the number of new coronavirus cases in the community has dropped from two in the week before to none this past week.

The number of patients in the community with no known links to confirmed cases has also dipped from two in the previous week to none this past week.

UPDATES ON REMAINING CASES

Singapore has recorded 60,184 cases of Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.

Of these, 60,022 have fully recovered and been discharged, including three on Saturday.

Seventeen patients remain in hospital. Most are stable or improving, and none is under intensive care, MOH said.

Another 115 patients are being cared for at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still test positive for the virus.
