No garbage trolleys in lifts, please

DURING the Chinese New Year holidays, I went to my Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner at Block 54 Chin Swee Road as I had a sprained ankle.
While waiting to take the lift up to the fourth level of the carpark, a worker dragging a huge uncovered garbage trolley joined me at the lift lobby with the intention of using the lift. Given the stench and unhygienic condition of the trolley, I decided to hobble up the stairs rather than be in the same lift as the garbage.
In hindsight, I feel that lifts meant for the public should not be used for garbage trolleys as well. Not only is it smelly, but it is also very unhygienic.
Garbage movement routes should be more clearly separated from public areas to avoid any potential for contamination and ultimately, for the prevention of illnesses as well.
