A forensic official inspects the bullet hole in the ceiling of a Kasikornbank branch in the Ladkrabang Industrial Estate after a lone gunman barged into the office, fired a shot and forced a teller to hand over 700,000 baht in a heist that took 20 seconds.
The bandit grabbed the cash from an unprotected Kasikornbank branch in the Ladkrabang Industrial Estate, Bangkok.
Thanakrit Champalee, a 32-year-old teller, said the robber wore a full-face black crash helmet, a black jacket, white gloves and black trousers and was about 170cm tall. The robber held a silver-coloured gun in his right hand and fired a single shot at the ceiling of the bank, which is located in the office building of the industrial estate.

The bank is on Chalong Krung Road in Lat Krabang district. It has been open for two years and did not have a security guard assigned to it, however, there are guards outside the office building.

Bangkok police chief Pol Lt Gen Winai Thongsong inspected the scene and said the robber seemed to be familiar with the place and knew where the cash was kept on the counter.
Police said they did not suspect any staff members of involvement. They are trying to identify the robber with accounts of witnesses and recordings from surveillance cameras.
A witness said the robber headed towards Khum Klao Road and Bueng Bua temple while making his escape.
