StarHub follows SingTel in capping data [update]

CErJu.jpg

Pay $38 for 1 gig of data usage for one month. Enough for you?

This is to force customers to take up mobile broadband packages.
Eversince voice plans came up with bundled data, it almost sounded the death knell for mobile broadband.

This is to force u to pay more. They even give u two sim cards (one for tablet and one for cellphone) to let u exceed the limit and die faster.

You'll have to blame kiasu Sinkies like this one:

Given the ease of accessing the Internet with a smartphone, logistics officer Jerry Quek thinks nothing of hooking it up to his laptop to surf the Web while he is out.

Last month, he downloaded 90 gigabytes (GB) of data - the equivalent of 300 videos.

He belongs to a minority of 'data hoggers' who tax the network and slow it down for everyone else, said telco SingTel, which took measures last week to rein in such users.

A better solution would be to treat data plans like annual leave. For example, you are allowed to download up to 21GB worth of data within one year. If you pay your bills on time, are a long-time loyal subscriber and are sensible with your bandwidth usage, you are allowed to carry over some GB for the next year of your contract.

Too bad.Free competition dont exist here..

Same for car petrol situation.

CASE found no case of collaboration between all of them. They probably based findings of another planet that time.

"gar ge lang"..."kar chng ang ang" is it??

Boss, there's nothing wrong with making profit. Telcos have no obligation whatsoever to let consumers bleed them dry.

nah!:oIo:

being government linked companies, they have to balance making money with moral, not bleeding pple dry to pay themselves fat bonuses, look at smrt, see what happen!
:D:p
