Baby thrown from 8th floor of French apartment block
A baby died on Thursday after being thrown from the eighth floor of an apartment building in southern France, fire fighters said. Police led away two women after the incident. The women covered their heads with white towels as they left the building in the city of Toulouse and were taken to a car.
"Around 7:30 pm (1730 GMT) somebody threw an infant from the eighth floor of the building. It was a member of the family; the baby is dead," a spokesman for the firemen told AFP. A member of the child's family called the firemen, he added.
