漏油事件发生在1个星期发生，导致2500吨的原油污染了我国樟宜海面。
根据马国《星洲日报》报道，漏油事件发生后，马国大约400名的渔民为了维持生计，照旧出海捕捉海鲜，之后卖到笨真和新加坡两地。结果，一些食客竟然吃到带有汽油味的鱼虾，接到这类投诉的餐馆业者，都表示愿意将这些有问题的海鲜收回。
四湾翡翠园海鲜酒家经理翁耀龙（46岁）表示，他从5月30日开始，就接获一些顾客反应说，他们所吃的海鲜带有汽油味。
餐馆已经把有问题的海鲜收回，并决定暂停购买虾类，直到污染问题解决为止。
翁耀龙说，到目前为止，顾客只投诉虾类有污染之嫌，但鱼产并没有明显被影响。翁耀龙表示，他在近期在买海鲜之前，都会检查海鲜是否带有原油味道，以策安全。
狮城客卓秀兰（42岁）表示，漏油事件发生后，她和朋友到四湾吃海鮮，之前也担心四湾的海鲜是否受污染。不过，在用餐后，她并没有觉得海鮮有异味。
