Most of the eggs available here come from accredited poultry farms in Malaysia, while the others come from local chicken farms. AVA added that processed egg products from China are also not sold in the retail market. To ensure national food safety here, AVA said they conduct stringent process of regular reviews, accreditation and inspection of source farms, abattoirs and food—processing factories. This announcement comes after authorities in Hong Kong said they found contaminated eggs imported from China. Hong Kong authorities said they are expanding their tests to include meat as animal feed has been found tainted with a derivative of melamine.

Just wondering - whether CNA includes other preserved eggs. Some century eggs come from China - it's clearly stated in the packing - in the supermarkets. In the meanwhile, it's best not to eat century egg first before AVA does a testing.
