Australia has effectively signed open borders with India. The Australia-India Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement (MMPA) includes the following provisions:

1. Five year student visas, with no caps on the numbers of Indians that can study in Australia.

2. From 1 July this year, Indian graduates of Australian tertiary institutions on a student visa can apply to work without visa sponsorship for up to eight years.

3. Three-month visitor visas available to Indians for family or business purposes (no caps on numbers).

4. Australia must also recognise Indian vocational and university degrees as being comparable to Australian qualifications for study and employment purposes

I was thinking buying Aussie Gov debt can be a good idea as Aussie dollar weaken against SGD

As Asian population grow in Aussie, it can be a viable place for retirement

Aussie Gov remain as a close partner to SG , importantly language and law is very similar to ours

AUD has been dropping for many years so it is like INR now.

But it is really a good idea to invest into large Australia's state government bonds in exchange for PR - cheaper education for your kids.

Last time for many Ah Tiongs go Australia and set up small business eg hospitality. Now these Ah Tiongs replaced by CECAs in Australia.

Now fish & chips and cafe outlets all run by CECA and their families.
