Bus captain keeps mum as woman eats and treats bus like home

just_like_home_woman_ignores_rules_on_bus-thumbnail.jpg

This woman, who was seated next to the bus captain, was seen eating and taking up a whole bench to herself on board a public bus but nothing was done to stop her, says an angry STOMPer Denise.

The bus driver's lack of initiative in stopping the woman's inconsiderate actions is appalling and disappointing for the sender.

In an email dated October 12, STOMPer Denise says:

"This commuter, who boarded the bus along Tampines Road, was clearly flouting the rules as she ate, drank and put up her feet on the seat while travelling in the bus.

"She was doing all this just beside the bus captain and yet the bus captain did not even question or stop her.

"The whole bus was 'scented' by the kopi which she brought into the bus.

"Surely the bus captain has the right to stop her for flouting the rules and having inconvenienced other commuters through her selfish act."

Mother ignores rules and warnings while feeding toddler in bus

mother-thumbnail.jpg

This mother was spotted feeding her toddler in the bus despite the no-eating or drinking rule. STOMPer Lookout, who also warned her about the bumpy bus ride, was disappointed by her actions.

Aside from the no-eating rule, the sender was also worried that the bumpy ride might cause the child to vomit or feel uncomfortable while eating.

In an email dated October 11, STOMPer Lookout says:

"I was on bus 196 (sitting at the far back of the bus) going to Parkway and just a few stops before reaching my destination, I noticed a lady with a child, probably about three years old board the bus.

"They sat at the back of the bus where I was sitting.

"As soon as the bus started moving, I saw the mother taking out a plastic bag and opening a container. I did not notice what she was doing until I saw her feeding her child.

"To me, she should not be doing this as firstly, you are not allowed to eat on the bus and secondly, feeding the child on the bus isn't the right thing to do as the bus is quite bumpy at times.

"The child might not feel comfortable and he might feel giddy and vomit.

"So I actually politely told the mother, if possible, to try and feed the child when they have alighted at their destinations but they just ignored me.

"I could not do much as I had to alight from the bus."

Auntie going to KL but have had taken the wrong bus and not realised it yet.

I once got into a public bus in Indon land and having to step over some long thick bamboo poles placed on the aisles of the bus. Wonder how the owner got the bamboo poles onto the bus.

To this stomper who took the picture, he could have suffered a heart attack!
