South Korean music icon BoA to hold Singapore concert in November
Regarded as one of the most successful K-pop artistes of all time, BoA has sold over ten million albums throughout her career.
In addition to Singapore, BoA will also perform in Seoul, Jakarta and Taipei. Ticketing details will be released at a later date.
BoA, whose real name is Kwon Bo-ah, started her career in 2000 at the age of 13 under SM Entertainment. Her breakthrough came in 2002 with the release of her debut Japanese album Listen To My Heart which sold over 230,000 copies in its first week and topped the Oricon Albums Chart – making her the first South Korean artiste to do so. The album is also famous for the track Every Heart (Minna no Kimochi) which served as an ending theme for the hit anime Inuyasha.
Since then, BoA has become a household name in South Korea and Japan – credited for making K-pop popular in Japan. In 2024, she released her latest single Emptiness in March and played an antagonist in the popular drama Marry My Husband.
