Attendant dies after trailer plunges into ravine

IPOH: A trailer attendant was killed after his vehicle plunged into a ravine near Simpang Pulai here. D. Ramarao, 35, died on the spot in the incident that occurred at the 12th kilometre of Jalan Keramat Pulai at 11.55pm on Saturday.
The plywood-laden trailer was heading to Simpang Pulai from Cameron Highlands when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It swerved to the left of the road before ending up in the ravine.
Ipoh traffic chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Rodzi Rejab said the driver suffered serious injuries and was in critical condition at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
