Human jam at AMK station because gantries not working

There was a huge jam at Ang Mo Kio MRT station as commuters waited to pass through the gantries. STOMPer Engineer believes that the crowds were caused by some gantries that were not working.

He wrote in the email (July 8):

"When I reached Ang Mo Kio MRT station around 7pm, there was a terrible jam.

"I think either one or two gantries are spoilt.

"It took me a while to get out of the station."

Even with 2 grantry mulfunction should have not cause this problem.
Blame on poor management. Close one of the enter grantry to become exit grantry.
Since enter not many commuter will enter at the same time.
SMRT employee are poor management and no brain.
