Copycat! New SMRT ad looks so similar to Twitter's 'fail whale'
STOMPer Chang found this SMRT advertisement awfully familiar. It uses the same concept and colour scheme as a well-known graphic used by Twitter.
Here's what Chang wrote in an email today (June 29):
"During a trip on an MRT train, I passed by this SMRT advertisement.
"I was shocked to find it was so very similar to the Twitter Whale. It's a 100% rip-off, even the colour themes are the same.
"Assuming it was done by an ad agency, why is SMRT paying them for totally unoriginal ideas? It is disgusting, no effort is made to even disguise the cut-and-paste job they did."
