Traffic congestion caused bus delay

WE ARE sorry to hear of Ms Lim Shi Ting's experience ("Long, futile wait for bus"; June 7).
Our investigations show that on June 5, road works along Bukit Timah Road near Newton, in the direction of Marina Centre, caused traffic congestion. Our records show that service 960 arrived at the bus stop opposite Bugis Junction at around 10.09pm. Subsequent buses arrived at the same bus stop at 10.27pm and 10.59pm, and they were adequate in meeting passenger demand.
