Two bomb hoax cases
A MAN charged yesterday with allegedly calling the Prime Minister's Office at the Istana about a bomb hoax was ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination.
Teo Mui Huat, 45, was said to have called last Tuesday with this message: 'Someone is going to plant a bomb, please pay attention.'
If convicted, he could be fined up to $50,000 and jailed up to seven years.
Police also arrested a 39-year-old Singaporean man yesterday for sending out e-mail bomb hoaxes to several airline companies overseas. He could be jailed up to five years or fined up to $100,000.
