Asking for advice: Bicycle brake. How to tighten this brake?

I just found a YouTube video. I think my old bike uses Shimano Rollerbrake...looks damn complicated piece of mechanism....


Looks different from yours. Yes, it's so complicated so not fun to ticker with. But in any case, just tighten the brake cable and you should be good to go.

Yes, from his own photo, I don't think his is the same as in the video. It's more likely to be those common brake lining/belt type as we had anticipated.

Done. Back wheel brakes feels better now. Then I see something funny. The sticker says "Caution: No refueling".

Refuel simi sai huh??? Why so complicated

So it has sentimental value. You should restore it, change out the rusty bits or at least polish the rust out. Lubricate the moving parts too. Glad you have a brompton, its Sturmey-Archer internal gear hub is smooth and hardy.
Polish the rust and do some paint job as a holiday project bah

Can still use for short grocery or lunch trips. Don't waste. It can easily function quite comfortably over 2 to 3 mrt station distance from my home. Can easily save a lot of short distance MRT fares.
