As a food connoisseur, would you agree to buy satay when the seller told you they have no more ketupat?

No way.
Some are selling just nasi impit wrapped in plastic, to replace the ketupat.
No pride in selling their products.
Timun and bawang are compulsory,

just go for protein and skip the carb. new satay diet that is popular in sg.

Just tell them to compensate by giving more peanut sauce.

It should not be called chicken rice if served without timun. Or tomato.

Food connoisseurs eat no satay. Satay is low crass 肉串 meant for labourers
Satay is served in business and first class on board SIA I 5hink. Its definitely served on MAS as appetizer and many asked for second helping.
