Arsenal 1, ManCity 0 - Goodbye Mancini

Arsenal just did Man U a big favor. Now Nasri has to squeeze his balls in one corner. :D

Grand Sam Sunday: Ending Nasri's title hopes provides Arsenal extra incentive against Manchester City
The Frenchman is the latest in a long line of Gunners to leave north London for the Blues in the past three years but his money-driven transfer is arguably most resented by fans

ROY KEANE

IF I was Manchester City manager, I’d ship out Mario Balotelli this summer — but Roberto Mancini might not be around long enough to do it.

When a manager comes out and says he cannot trust a player, the writing is on the wall.

Commentators might love footballers who are unpredictable but, believe me, managers prefer ones they can hang their hat on.

Bill Shankly once said: “Anybody who is unpredictable is a waste of time. Joe Louis was predictable. He would knock a man down on the floor. Goodbye! We were predictable but the opposition couldn’t stop us.”

Balotelli is really a twat.. Once again his indiscipline let down Man City.. It was a poor goal conceded by Man City.. Gareth Barry committed suicide in his own half, and it was a good goal scored by Arteta.. Barry would dread facing Mancini in the dressing room after the game.. Man City Mancini's face looked really black after the final whistle.. I'm sure he'll be given the sack by the Owners during the summer.. Its Man Utd's title now..

Premier League the priority for Manchester City declares owner Sheikh Mansour

Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour has given a rare interview in which he designates the Premier League as the priority for his club, and gives manager Roberto Mancini his backing.

City are likely to crash out of the Champions League next week when they face Bayern Munich, where even a win against the German giants may not be enough to secure qualification. But Sheikh Mansour believes that winning the Premier League is more important this season, and will set the foundation for a successful European campaign in the seasons to come.

"We must not forget that our main objective is to win the English Premier Leagueand if we achieve that, then it will have an impact on the team and the club as a whole and will show we can achieve anything," Sheikh Mansour told Al Ittihad newspaper.

"Sometimes I meet a lot of Emirati and Arab brothers in London, and see them criticise the work of Roberto Mancini, but I think that his plans are going on the right path.

"We have to ask ourselves where we have been and what Manchester Cityhave become now. To realise that what we have accomplished is great.

"Hard work is still required but we are all satisfied with what has been achieved, the success and development at this level. However you must have patience."

Sheikh Mansour also had a word of caution for City fans who have enjoyed some remarkable victories this season including a 6-1 victory at Old Trafford over bitter rivals Manchester United.

"We must be aware that these kinds of results can be a double-edged sword - it makes the others look at you differently and prepare themselves the best way they can," added Sheikh Mansour.

"But those who want to win championships and trophies have to adapt to that and be ready to face the challenges."

haha...i thought it was pizzaro who gave the ball away

Balotelli is the perfect scapegoat if Man City fails to win the title. Mancini did his homework and brought that controversial character over to Etihad. The game against the Gunners was proof of his intention. He allowed the Balo to play on knowing very well that it was only a matter of time before the player gets red carded.

The leg breaking challenges Balo made were way over the top and was lucky not to be sent off earlier. Well, its back to the drawing board for Mancini if he's to convince his employer that he deserves a second chance.

there were 2 actually- Balotelli & Tevez.

he placed Tevez on exile - imagine Tevez single-handedly saved West Ham from relegation, he also dragged Man U out of deadlocks (on a few occasion).

And then of cse, if you trace the blood trail to the source - mancini ultimately have to answer for the 'mis-management' of the team.

at this stage, he should throw everything on Arsenal. 1st half can see ManCity has problems defending Arsenal attacks.

2nd half, show intro Tevez. putting 3 strikers. hahaha, still play defensive and holding football. obigood.:D

think breaking point is when they lose Yaya Toure, straight away, Mancini lost his marbles.

David Silva was another one sorely missed.

Thats why after, Balotelli went after Song machiam he is out for revenge. I think it was Song's tackle that knocked out Toure.

Kompany: Manchester City will be a success
On a frustrating day for Roberto Mancini's side after defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates, the captain believes the club will be a force to be reckoned with in the future

Wenger insists Mario Balotelli deserved red card in win over Manchester City
The Italian striker escaped punishment for his tackle on Alex Song in the first half of their victory, but was eventually sent off for a second bookable offence late in the game

Mancini '100 per cent' sure he is the man to deliver title to Manchester City
The Italian saw his side slump to a 1-0 defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates as Manchester United opened up an eight-point advantage at the top of the Premier League

Tears, tantrums and missed opportunities: City and Balotelli blow up as title dream goes out with a whimper
With Roberto Mancini's side now eight points behind United in the title race following defeat to Arsenal, their bid for league success has crumbled under numerous pressures

Tevez was Mark Hughes pick and he was popular with City fans. At any rate he was not involved in any incident on the field. City trailed Bayern 2-0 then and lost that game. My gut feel is Mancini probably thought he could cash in by selling Tevez in January and buy another player of his choice.
Yes bro, Mancini is guilty of mismanagement. Even if he were to be given another 100 million pounds to spend, I dun think City will win the EPL. He reminds me of another Italian not so long ago before the special one arrived.
