SINGAPORE: SAFFC took another huge step towards completing their S.League title defence on Wednesday evening, when they came back from one goal down to overwhelm Geylang United 4-1 at Choa Chu Kang Stadium.
The Eagles had taken advantage of some slack marking to open the scoring in the 20th minute, when skipper Noor Ali nodded home Baihakki Khaizan's cross on the right.
But Therdsak Chaiman restored parity for the Warriors just five minutes later amidst a goalmouth melee, and the Thai struck again in the 32nd minute to hand his side the lead before Aleksandar Duric made it 3-1 two minutes later.
An own goal by Rastislav Belicak just before half-time completed Geylang's night of misery, as SAFFC widened the gap at the top of the table to an emphatic 14 points. - S.League.com
