If a foreigner were to stumble upon Singapore’s boisterous if not sometimes rowdy internet forums and read the ongoing discussions amongst forumers, he would have thought that the ruling PAP is a nefarious government bent on exploiting its citizens and would be booted out of office pretty soon in the next general election.

Indeed, save for the PAP’s own P65 blog and a few known PAP bloggers like Ephraim Loy and Gerald Giam, the majority of socio-political blogs are staunchly anti-establishment.

The perpetual PAP bashing which has been existed ever since the internet is invented has spawn an unique subculture of yippies in cyberspace who regard themselves as self-righteous human rights advocates, democrats and freedom fighters.

Netizens compete among themselves to be the most vociferous PAP basher to dominate the discussions. PAP supporters and even neutral objective bystanders were harrassed, lampooned and silenced. Colorful acronyms and nicknames like SIWs (scum in whites), MIWs (Men in white), Pappies, Arseloon, Old Fart, Gecko, Bargain Hen, Clown Prince, Prata-man etc. are coined to ridicule the ruling party and its leaders.

This goes to say that those who able to ridicule are creative enough ! Not those who are not able to !

hmm...i read your article

how can you conclude that:

"The question we need to ask ourselves is: how are we going to convince the 40% fencesitters who are politically neutral to vote for the opposition ?"
when in the same article, it was written that:

In a recent interview conducted by The Singapore Enquirer, nearly half of the respondents polled indicate they will vote for the PAP if an election is held this year. Though more than half did reply to the question, the figure does give us an idea that the core support for the ruling party is still intact in the HDB heartland where the vote matters most.

What a crap article.

The PAP have conducted over 40 years of Mastabation via ALL our Media to brainwash Singaporeans to Bash other Singaporeans.

If those two clowns and POR LAMPAR Idiocracy of the MIWs should examine their own brains, they will simply know that our Democractic instituitions have been usurped and perverse to the core.

More tidal waves of PAP attacks on the internet are to be expected. And the reasons are pretty clear. Elections are on the way.

In the land of our MeritoCrapcy island, ONLY THE PAPies are allowed to demonise Singaporeans as ugly, complaining, ungracious and KIASU.

LOOK AT WHO IS DOING ALL THE TALKING AND NAME CALLING ?

If all is well, fine and dandy, the bloggers and other writers on the net would not be even worthy of any PAP attention.

The facts are that the PAPies immaculate roll of complancency and incompetence in recent years stinks to high heaven. So to the PAPies por lampar morons, YOU ARE BETTER off writing about your master's achievements if there are any left.

Anything else is diversion.

Millions and even billions of our Funds are lost. All sort of fuckups from the lost of our No. 1 terrorist, the scams of our various charities, etc etc are the SIGNS that our system we have is crapping up.

And finally, the CITIZENS have the rights of expressions. Advocates of the PAP one Party system should remember that we are not a FASCIST nation yet.
