i'd like to offer this alternative, humans are animals, thus i'd look at things from a biological point of view, i.e. feelings are often convoluted by social norms, which often doesn't reconcile well with natural instincts, therefore the individual finds it confusing to put a point to it. love? it's more like a sexual desire for reproductive success.
