MUMBAI, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Four top police officials were among the 10 policemen killed as security forces took on terrorists here in the early hours of Thursday following a series of attacks in this India's financial capital, which killed at least 80 people and injured 250 others, authorities said.

Mumbai Police Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare was among the dead. Two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, additional police commissioners Ashok Kamte and Sadanand Date, were killed in separate gun battles with terrorists, the authorities said. Mumbai Police "encounter specialist" Vijay Salaskar were also shot dead in another gun battle. Karkare was heading investigations into several recent cases of terrorist attacks here. There were six other police officials among the at least 80 killed in the coordinated terror attacks late Wednesday night.

Wait long long lah! Even in normal unit exercise all of them cramped into the ops room which is aircon rather than come out. Makan time use handphone to call their runner to bring the food in for them. When war come all it takes is 1 direct hit into the ops building and all will die togather.

Hahaha.... reminds me of an exercise in ROC where the white horse battalion commander went "MIA" during the exercise.

Apparently he had removed his rank and went to stay in the foxholes of one of the platoon..... tcss with the men there for 3 day 3 nights while the rest of the battalion officers went nuts searching for their "missing" commander

And because he was an elite white horse, no action was taken against him.....

the overpaid officers, scholar generals look like garang soldiers only on the surface, bt actually they're worse than handicap. in fact, they're heavily dependent on their p.a. or runners. as long as either 1 of them unavailable or unreachable, the officer sits there to sulk like a lost child.

commissioned officer who decommissions himself, to join others in tcss for 3d3n?? he ought to be charged for desertion & decommissioned permanently. tax payers need nt be paying for such idiots in the corp.
