Apple Polishers

Does anyone else have the impression that there are many apple polishers aka ass kissers in Sinkieland?
Based on the many letters in forum pages of newspapers praising the government and government bodies and people in positions of authority and power, it seems that apple polishing has become very prevalent here.

Another question.
Do you think that people kiss the ass of people they think have power and authority or people who are rich or anybody who can help them in some way?
For example will a sales assistant kiss your ass if she knows that you are rich or simply if you are a person with some power?

The best polishers I see come from Young PxP, RC and Town council members. There are obvious benefits they derive from polishing. Not unlike employees who polish for the pay rise or promotion.

They're ghost writers similar to what the NKF used whenever they received bad publicity and needed a PR boost.

CSJ was the only one who had the guts to publicly declare what everyone already knows.

Of course we all know the consequences of doing such things in Singapore.

In the press many are, but most consistent are the Chua sisters and lately it is Lionel De Souza.

Apple polishers eixst not only in the press. JW5 has pointed out that those in the Young PXP, RC and Town Councils and other government organisations make apple polishing the main focus for their living.
