Brisk business at RWS

ALL through its competitor's ritzy opening yesterday, it was business as usual at Resorts World Sentosa's (RWS) casino - that is, brisk.
Busloads of tourists, mostly from China and Malaysia, poured into the gambling hall throughout the day, peaking around mid-afternoon.
The queue at the foreigners' entrance was often ten-deep. A smaller but regular stream of locals also kept flowing in from morning till afternoon.
Retailers and restaurants facing the casino entrance reported it was business as usual for them too.
Several punters told The Straits Times that they were planning to try their hand at the other casino as well yesterday.
But others said they would give Marina Bay Sands (MBS) a miss on opening day, in case there was a big crowd.
