Give opposition candidates a chance to prove themselves

MISS Shauna Loh's concern about voters allowing an unproven opposition to take charge of the country is overstated("Why crowd at rally cheered WP, then fell silent"; Tuesday).

The only way to ascertain if opposition candidates are able to deliver is to give them a chance to serve the people. If they are not given the chance to serve, or are not granted similar access to resources as PAP candidates do, how then can we make a reasoned judgment of their calibre?

On the other hand, if voters choose to root for the opposition due to discontent, it would be disastrous to our future.

What is imperative is a balance be struck. For constituencies where the opposition candidates are promising, voters may want to consider giving them a chance to serve their ward for the next five years.

Singapore is going through what Taiwan has gone through after years of suppression. Singapore is worst because our ruling party will do anything to stay in power even selling the country (Giving citizenship to foreigner).
I hope they remember they are Singaporean as well.
History is what people remember all the bad thing you do.
Chinese General in Ming dynasty was Woo San Kui was only remember as the traitor who open the gate to the Manchu - whatever good he done before that no one remember. I hope they will do the right things and be remembered for all the good they done and not start do the bad things because 1 bad thing erase almost all the good deeds you done.

PAP has provened itself for failing the people. That is fact and served as their bad track record down the history to be remembered starting from this day.
