Body found in waters off East Coast Park
Police found a body floating in the waters off East Coast Park on Wednesday afternoon.
It is believed to be that of Singaporean shipping agent Mohd Aidil, who fell overboard from a ship on Monday, said a Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) spokesman in a statement late last night.
Mr Aidil, 26, was on board the Singapore-registered bunker tanker MT Lefkas when the incident happened at around 4pm.
He is believed to have lost his balance while trying to catch a canned drink that someone from a vessel next to his ship had tossed over to him.
