$900,000 HDB flat sold

strathmore_avenue_0083_00001.JPG
The owner of the notorious famous $950,000 HDB penthouse maisonette in Bishan Street 24 has accepted the $900,000 offer for his flat - at least according to The Straits Times.

AND IN OTHER NEWS, another HDB flat along Strathmore Avenue in Queenstown was NOT SOLD for $950,000 - also according to The Straits Times.

Okay..maybe this is getting a little out of hand as all this sky high price headline hogging is not doing the already jittery market any good. Any Tom, Dick and Harry could place an ad for his 3rm flat at $1,000,000 and not sell it too. But that will make every Tom, Dick and Harry follow suit.

Like we said in our previous post...don't pop the champagne until the keys are handed over (or option-to-purchase accepted in local context).

BAH.

If owner accepts it means OTP is accepted, but that still means nothing.

Can someone identify the buyer? I am classifying this under Singapore Urban Legends - The tale of the almost $1 million pigeon hole

Why are these two towns always selling at sky rocket price. Are there gold hidden under the ground or because of fengshui reason that people buy at such hefty price. I believe the seller can now retire and migrate to cheaper country and buy huge landed property with just a small fraction of their selling price.

It should be called 'public leased housing'. Home ownership in Peasantpore is a sham if you are refering about 'public leased housing'.
