Angry hubby assaults wife’s family members

A MAN angry with his wife for not returning with him after attending her younger sibling’s engagement assaulted his father-in-law and brother-in-law in a fit of rage, frontpaged by the Harian Metro.
The man, who is in his 30s, allegedly went amok and smashed the windscreen of two cars before assaulting his 51-year-old father-in-law.
The daily quoted a police source as saying that the incident took place at the father-in-law’s home on Sunday.
After the man left he called his brother-in-law, who is in his 20s, at around 10pm suggesting that they meet and giving the impression that he wanted to clear the air.
His brother-in-law accompanied by his two friends and father-in-law met the suspect at a restaurant near their housing area.
However, they were later allegedly assaulted by the suspect and a group of 10 unknown men, who were believed to be his friends armed with sticks and iron rods.
The victims sustained injuries to their hands and bodies and were taken to the hospital after reporting the attack to the Jinjang police.
