<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I WANT to express my deep appreciation to the staff of Singapore General Hospital (SGH) for saving my life earlier this month, after I was taken there with heavy internal bleeding due to an intestinal ulcer.
I have been a resident of Singapore for less than two years and this was my first visit to SGH.
I was extremely impressed with the quality of care, the management of information on patients, and especially the exceptional teamwork between staff across units.
I especially thank Professor Koong Heng Nung and his team, the staff in wards 58, 57 and 54, and those at the Accident and Emergency department who initially treated me. And I am grateful as well to the Singapore Civil Defence Force ambulance team that took me to SGH.
The hospital delivers world-class medical care.

By the way, keen to know the hospital bill Stephen Perrenod had received contained how many pages.

How about '..is a classic example of Singlish'? 'Is a classical example of Singlish' is a classic example of Singlish-English confusion.

There is no call to denigrate this compliment. I am pleased with the care, treatment and professionalism shown by the SGH staff, from the specialists, doctors, nurses, attendants, cleaners etc. My mother and mother-in-law were admitted to the said hospital recently on separate occasions. Their stay there was pleasant, and their recuperation fast due to the great care and gentleness shown by all who attended to them. They paid their bills ( heavily subsidized) via deduction from their medisave account. I myself was treated at SGH for a stone lodged in my kidney not long ago. I can vouch for the very good care and service accorded to me. Do give credit where it is due. Spare a kind thought for those doctors, specialists, nurses, therapists, health care workers etc. They are providing an essential service.

Foreigners are the top priority in Singapore.
Please understand that our govt loves foreigners very much rather their own citizens.
They will "love" us only when election day comes near.

I do not have to elaborate all the problems we encounter during admission.
One of this day, try spend few hours to observe how they serve the local patients.
