住圣淘沙千百万豪宅、坐拥海景，高级岛民竟投诉：连买一个番茄也需要专人送货上门！
圣淘沙岛升涛湾（Sentosa Cove）的住户虽然享受着无敌海景的优美环境，却投诉在日常生活中面对一般国人无法想像的问题，这些难题包括：办杂货难、找维修理店难、叫校车难、隔绝噪音难。
搬来住两年半的凯丽（44岁）告诉《新报》，番茄、橄榄油等家中八成日用品，是由食品公司送货上门的。
虽然岛民可以到“对岸”的怡丰城（Vivocity）办货，但这些岛民却觉得怡丰城太热闹，让他们不想涉足。岛上还有其他9户，也请同一家食品公司送货。
她说：“岛上没有杂货店，以前送货进岛还要付2元门票；我去交涉后，最近才豁免缴门票。”由于许多地方还在进行兴建工程，岛上至今没有面包店和修理铺，凯丽还要自己做点心。 嫁给法国人的她，每月还要花1000元德士费，特地载送16和14岁的两个女儿去宏茂桥的法国学校读书。
即将在年底搬到The Azure住的李先生（55岁，私人投资者）表示，从03年起在岛上看房至今，生活设施没多大改进。他说搬进岛内180万元的新公寓后，还是得留着“陆地”上的洋房。
“10岁女儿在武吉知马上学，校车不愿意开进岛内载学生，我们只好平时住洋房，周末才到岛上新居度假。”鉴于岛上集酒店、商店和服务于一体的Quayside Isle要到2012年才竣工，李家目前只好天天到岛上的高尔夫球俱乐部和酒店解决正餐。
