Was around the neighborhood earlier and I can hear “dong dong dong chiang” songs already, saw some lunar new year goodies on display and can’t help but tried some.

What are the traditional CNY goodies you like? I prefer the savory snacks to the sweet ones. Here’s the kicker- can have up to how many pax per household ah? :coffee::coffee::coffee:

ps: credits to musclepower for pointing out my mistake

China PRC embassy issued notice to Chinese in Singapore not to celebrate Lunar New Year. Anyway we should not use the term Chinese New Year. We shall call it lunar New Year

Lunar New Year vs Chinese New Year...:unsure::unsure:

I understand there are many cultures using the lunar calendar, the marking of Spring and the start of a new farming year. Other than the perks of public holidays, does lunar New Year mean much to us?

PRC doing another round of Cultural Revolution ah? Chinks don’t celebrate CNY then celebrate October Golden Week only? :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

wtf? they can get lost lah.

Anyway, we are more Chinese than them. Thanks to commies they've already forgotten >50% of what made us Chinese. Hint for them : Living in a country called China is not enough. e.g. Know what the mooncake festival is about?
