That's why I always say: only a small and limited govt is your best guarantee of liberty, prosperity and security.
Big govt = excessive bureaucracy, lots of wastage, constantly inventing new things to justify its own existence.
Unlimited govt = no limits and checks on power, overreaching to places where it shouldn't. The classic consequence of a 'ownself check ownself' regime.

Most of their work is done by folks in the private sector, they outsource everything while throwing a few emails now and then to give instructions or to 'seek clarification', and that's prerry much what their 'work' consists of. No need to pretend otherwise.
