All six Premier League teams withdraw the most exciting European Super League

They need more teams to join to be a success. I think they cold not get the numbers.

Balless group. Backed down at the slightest resistance.

The ESl has an elitist structure to begin with and power lies in the hands of founding members. In a nutshell, it was designed to generate cash at the expense of football fans. The Barcelonas and REALs have all run themselves to the ground even with TV money which they were unwilling to share with the other teams in La Liga. They need to rethink the way clubs are managed without breaking the bank. Sweeping changes on club ownership, wages and fee needs to be addressed in earnest.
I am glad to hear Ed Woodward has resigned. Now we need to get rid of the Glazers for good.

Chelsea and Man City were the first to leave.

The ESL was instigated by American (and Tiong, if you count Serie A clubs) owners, plus Perez of Real Madrid. The Arab and the Russian were coerced to join.

Just implement 50+1 football club ownership like in Germany and there would be no such problems.

quite true ...

@ 1st, tok until like got dragon got tiger ... sure going 2 form oredi ...

now ... hear staircase sound but c no 1 cum down ...

Real, Barca and spurs are neck deep in debt and this breakaway was their ticket out of financial ruin. Too bad if they have to sink. Leeds and Rangers have made it back from the dead too

Agreed with you. There must be a cap on the wages. And yes, Glazers need to be out.

Who gives a shit about that stupid game anyway???

It's not the numbers. It's the structure designed to milk the last drop from the cash cow-FANs!
The current UEFA structure is no angel either. They are quite corrupt but now has become too big to fail. I predict some big clubs to go bankrupt soon and they will blame covid19

Unions have a say in running of most german companies as they have seats in the board of directors,

Among the proposals were more sexciting playtimes, maybe 4 quarters like NBA and bigger goal posts.

90 min 0-0 really sianz and these days the players are like pussies, touch a bit can flip 360 degrees and groan.

Agree. UEFA have been sitting on their palms for a long time now. They knew of this impending 'coup' with only threats to show. Yup, my bet is Inter. there's going to be a fire sale in the summer for sure.

The wages of Messi, Ronaldo and Bale will sink any club. Fortunately for REAL, they offload Ronaldo and sold him to Juve who is now saddled with a huge bill. These clubs have overspent, period.
Methinks Spurs will survive. The Cambridge schooled Levy would have made all the contingency plans to keep it afloat. They need CL qualification and that's where the money pot is.
