I STRONGLY endorse Mr Chan Chi Yung's letter yesterday, 'Cluttered walkways at malls pose danger'.

Popular Mustafa Centre in Little India has extremely narrow aisles throughout its six levels of shopping space, posing a significant fire hazard. One wonders how it has managed to pass fire inspections.

To compound matters, the entire length of the five-foot way outside this hypermart is crammed with stalls, tables and chairs, all of which would prevent rapid evacuation of the premises and deployment of fire-fighting equipment.

Mustafa actually damn good. It is not really that cheap now with other pple slashing prices but every Indian Tom, Dick and Harry will get off the plane and ask for Mustafa.

In reality, deadly stampedes usually happens when a certain tribe has holy events.

This is serious. Can imagine a mall on fire.

If we got this kind of clientele, third party insurance may not be enough, this I would worry.
