Having swiftly attained a cult following since he correctly predicted all four winners of the World Cup quarter-finals, his admirers have been flocking to the narrow five-footway in Little India to seek his wise advice.

In yesterday morning's semi-final showdown between Spain and Germany, Mani once again proved that he's not all fluff when he picked Spain as the winner.

All this is starting to have an effect.

Previously, $3 to $5 would have got you a prediction from Singapore's very own celebrity tipster.

But when The New Paper visited Mani yesterday, his owner Mr Muniyappan, 70, was charging $20 per World Cup prediction.
