Loanshark runner jailed for leaving pork outside Muslim home

A loanshark runner has been jailed for leaving pork on the doorstep of a Muslim family's flat.
According to Shin Min Daily News, Su Yong Hui, 23, had on orders, bought raw pork from a wet market and placed it outside the home of a Muslim family at Blk 444, Ang Mo Kio Ave 10.
He also splashed paint on the door of the unit and vandalised a nearby stairwell.
This is despite the void deck and stairwell being equipped with closed circuit cameras.
Su was arrested, and has pleaded guilty to nine charges for offences that took place between 15 August and 15 December last year.
During his sentencing, the prosecutor asked for a harsher punishment to be meted out to Su as his act constitutes a threat to racial harmony in Singapore.
Su has been sentenced to 27 months' jail, 9 strokes of the cane and fined $30,000.
